Patent trolls know you’re vulnerable when you’re on the path to or have just had an IPO. A new study from High Tech Solutions shows companies preparing for or have just announced an IPO have a higher risk of patent litigation. Of lawsuits filed by patent assertion entities (PAEs aka patent trolls) from 2017 through October 2022, findings showed 62% of targeted companies had no patents.
