Suzanne Bell is a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and head of the Intellectual Property/Technology Transactions – IT practice. Suzanne handles technology and intellectual property transactions, including patent licenses, development agreements, strategic alliances, complex commercial arrangements and outsourcing transactions, for a wide range of Internet, software, cloud computing, digital media, electronics, telecommunications, and clean technology companies. Her practice includes intellectual property asset purchases and sales; technology mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs; and intellectual property litigation settlement agreements. She represents both growth and mature companies, and she has advised many of Silicon Valley’s most prominent companies from start-up to maturity. She also participates in the management of the firm in various capacities and is currently a member of the Strategic Practice Development Committee; prior Committee memberships include the Compensation Committee, Nominating Committee (co-chair) and Management Committee. Suzanne is a frequent speaker; recent topics include cloud computing, patent licensing, and patents and trade secrets for early stage cleantech companies and technology license agreements. She has been recognized as a leader in IP by Chambers, Best Lawyers in America, Northern California Super Lawyers and other publications, and as a Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal “Woman of Influence.”

Suzanne received her J.D. (cum laude) from Stanford Law School, her M.S (engineering) from Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and her B.A. (chemistry) from Middlebury College.
